Comment: A great one for the barbecue, but is just as good under the grill. Simple to put together, adding classic Chinese flavour to this succulent cut of meat.
Serves 4
Ingredients:
4 pork chops – about 160-200g each chop
2 tbsp Lee Kum Kee Premium Oyster Flavoured Sauce
2 tbsp honey – the runny type, not set
2 tsp toasted sesame oil
2 garlic cloves peeled and crushed
Small piece of fresh root ginger (about 2cm piece) – peeled and finely chopped
Method:
Step 1: In a bowl, create a marinade by blending together the Oyster Sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic and ginger. Add the pork chops to the marinade and mix well ensuring the meat is well coated. Cover the bowl with cling film and refrigerate for a few hours, or ideally overnight.
Step 2: Cook the marinated chops under a
hot, pre-heated grill or on the barbecue until golden – about 5 minutes each side is
normally about right.
Serve with a fresh green salad or for a heartier meal, with green vegetables and either sautéed or mashed potatoes.
